A Creative Disaster

It really gets me.

I love music, art, film, a great read. It inspires me. I am always interested in how others are expressing their talents and passions.

For sometime now, I have been planning on writing on the people I am surrounded by, showcasing their talents and what they are offering to society. And while I have a feeling this dream will wind up becoming something bigger, today it is going to start small. Right here. Right now. So keep visiting. Who knows what will pop up.

Unless of course they are holding up your pants or any other important article of clothing. For me, though, most days my zipper just represents pain.

I am a Zipperhead, a moniker given to those of us who have had brain surgery due to Chiari Malformation (For definition, visit here). This zipper is represented in a 5 inch scar on the back of my head. In 2008, I had 3 brain surgeries. And while these surgeries did help my condition in some ways, it could not take it all away.
